Custom Designed Notecards

One of the residents, Jewel, designed the cover of these blank notecards for any occasion. Help support the Women at the Dismas Home with a purchase of 20 notecards.

Your purchase will help show the support needed for these women heading down a path to a bright future. Cards cost $20 plus shipping.

Fill Our Pantry

With your donations we are able to give the girls the a budget to be able to purchase the items they need for the month.

We all know how home cooked meals can bring us so much comfort. This is especially true for the women at the DIsmas Home. We would like to feature your recipes with the women and start a cookbook. We ask that when you submit your receipt that you donate the dollar amount needed for the items and a photo of either cooking the dish, the friends or family enjoying it or a quick 30-60 second video.

Community Meals

What is a Community Meal?

Dismas Home Dining Table

Community meals at The Dismas Home is a way to share a meal with the residents. we love the idea of sharing meals with our community as it is a way to help breakdown barriers and stereotypes and encourages everyone to build a network of acceptance and support.

Gathering around the dinner table together is a family strengthening tradition. Groups of up to three people bring food, cook, and share a meal and conversation with the residents.

Advocacy

How to spread awareness

You are note alone at Dismas Home

Opportunities to Impact the Community At Large.

The following facts are true:

  • There is a public misunderstanding of how vastly underserved these women are and there is a moral judgement against women who go to jail or prison.
  • Residents face a great deal of stigma, obstacles, and barriers when they re-enter the community. They get turned down for employment and housing because of their records, despite their success at Dismas Home.

By working with local, county, and state officials we can make changes in the penal system and in the community. These changes will impact the overall community for the better.

Everyone deserves a second chance. For more information about advocacy, please contact us.
